A survey carried out by the The Guardian newspaper revealed that engineers have the happiest job in the world, closely followed by teachers.

The Guardian looked at 9 surveys, carried out their own and then compared all ten to see which jobs came out on top the most. Interestingly, job satisfaction and being happy at work didn't boil down to salary.

Working with the public and enjoying the pressure

Jobs like teaching and nursing aare very much public sector jobs which put workers in the front line when dealing with the general public. But that doesn't deter them from appearing in teh survey. In fact this might be one of the factors that make them so enjoyable.
