BA Accounting and Finance course structure

In order to complete the BA Accounting and Finance course a student needs to complete 120 credits.

The Core Level covers three modules of 40 credits each

  • Financial Strategy*
  • Independent Study
  • Management Accounting Performance Evaluation*

The Optional Level covers three modules of 20 Credits each

  • Business & Personal Taxation*
  • Financial Reporting Theory*
  • Financial Statement Analysis
  • Investing and Financial Markets

Note: 4 modules with * are assessed with exams (70% exams and 30% course work).

Up to 2 Years part time study

Eligibility

HND or Foundation degree in Accounting and Finance a Foundation degree in Business or equivalent qualification

If ESOL: IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 580 (paper based) or 280 (computer based)

You can also study this course if you have:

  • ACCA F1-F6 or ACCA F1-F5 and F8
  • CIMA Advanced Diploma
  • ABE Advanced Diploma in Business Administration
  • IBAM Advanced Diploma in Business Administration

If you have studied one of the modules below from CIMA or ACCA, you will be exempt from one of the Programme modules:

  • ACCA Exemptions : F7 Financial Reporting Theory
  • CIMA Exemptions : F3 Financial Strategy
